Well men here's the latest - I went out with the F-I-L riding yesterday and WOW trails are unreal, I had trouble finding a trail that was not VIRGIN GROOMED SNOW in 70 miles of riding. The fresh 12" we got was that heavy wet packed nice snowmobiling snow and the groomer went right out and did their thing. Now for the bad--Its 8am Fri. morning and the thermometer is reading -6* outside with the temps expected not to go much higher today and starting Friday night and all day Saturday they are calling for 8-16" of new snow, so I will not be riding with you all in a snow storm.Anyone driving up should be real careful as they have a heavy storm warning in effect.I will be checking this post to answer any questions anyone may have. Thanks for the report. I was really looking forward to this group ride also but with 6 to 12 inches of snow coming in starting after midnight tonight it is turning me away. I do not want to be driving to Rangeley in snow. There are to many turn offs for this right now.
The long drive to Rangeley in the snow.
Finding a place to park the truck and trailer in Rangely that will be plowed out when I get there or will not plow me in while I am out sledding.
Snowmobiling with snow coming down can be a pain.
Getting back to the truck after the group ride to have to dig my truck and trailer out.
The long drive home of crappy roads after a long day of riding.I am going to keep an eye on the weather but it is not looking good for me.

Latest local weather reports for our area and north towards Rangeley have been increased to a "EXPECTED" 10-18" -- or so the weather liars say. I understand exactly how you feel and as far as safety sake, its just not worth it.I will keep everyone posted as I see it.--------- In the Trail Conditions Forum/Snow Cond. Farmington/Wilton Posting, I been and will keep a updated log going on weather conditions till the storm ends so we can make plans hopefully for another group ride in better weather conditions. I myself don't even bother leaving the house till snowfall ends if I can help it. I hate to sound like "Dad" but it is not YOUR driving you have to worry about, its the other idiots on the road that you have to worry about.---lol---beside you know how them damn flatlanders are when it come to driving in the snow, and lord knows theres enough of them this time of the year up heah--lol--Hope to get together with you all before sledding seasons end but in better conditions. Now this Monday sounds real good, everyone will be at work up here and all the flatlanders will be home.:blebleble:

Need the middle finger button. I was at home but I got to ride my trail system with my 5 year old. Did 50 miles and the kiddo fell asleep the last 10. Had to ride with one hand on the the throttle and one hand on him. A far as the weather went it was great up there. Snowed all day Sat as we rode to Kingfield and Sun was just perfect with bright blue skies and white, white, white.

how many miles did we ride this weekend... I'll admit... I did not keep track of anything at all... no clue on the millage, gas millage, nothing... LMAO. Usually I keep a real close eye on all of that stuff. But after the first run and OffShore24 and I filled up and the 800 only took 1 Gal more over his 600SDI after an 80 loop... I didn't care. LMAO.

My wife and I only put on about 210 GPS miles or so. So add your trip on friday to that. If we had gone by track miles it would have been a lot more.

So 300 miles would be a good number than... If I added in track spin it may be closer to 375  All of that powder we rode on really lets that track go!
