Anyone know which additive is best, K-100, Iso-heat, stabil ?or if any gas stations are selling non-ethanol
gasoline anymore?
I've been wondering about this as all the gas i've pumped lately is 10% ethanol.
In addition, with the Maine weather, wardens warn that condensation can also be problematic with the E10 gas. Water can absorb the ethanol and ruin the engines of snowmobiles.
Wardens are suggesting snowmobilers use an additive that will prevent water from getting mixed with the gas.

WCSH is late to the party.... but that's typical of those who drink the green kool-aid.
Alcohol is about the worst stuff you can put through a gasoline engine... especially one as finicky as most 2-strokes.... I hate having to run the crap in my weed-whacker.
Ever see a set of engine bearings that have come out of an alky-burning race motor that went a few too many laps between oil changes?... if you had you'd want to keep the stuff as far away as possible from ANY engine you have.
Alky's funny stuff... it mixes well with both water and gasoline... but will actually displace most of the oils that we use as lubricants... go figure.
Worst part of the deal is that, not only are we required to use 10% of it in our gas thanks to pinhead politicians (who have never talked to a SINGLE engine builder before making that genius decision), it's in 99% of the "additives" marketed as fuel system "cleaners" or "treatments".
"Iso Heet" or any other "dry gas" type "water remover" is 95-99% alcohol.
"K-100" is about half alky.
Most "fuel system cleaners" or "fuel injector cleaners" are at least 15%... some as much as 35%. (STP's "Super Concentrated" is one notable exception that I know of)
"Sea Foam" is 10-20% alky according to the MSDS.
Only two fuel treatments I'm aware of at the moment that contain NO alcohol are "Stabil" & "Star Tron"
