Is there a sticky thread or forum for Clubs?
I was thinking group rides, but it seems oriented towards something else.

No

The best list of clubs I know of is at the Snowmobile Miane website.

Ok.
I did not know if you want to create forum that would allow each club to start a thread. Since a lot of clubs do not have websites or forums of their own. Sort of like Dootalk has sub-sections for each state.

Might get messy though.

Hey it's worth consideration. The admins, Ewelin and Attrol would need to put it together. Problem is there's a hundred clubs and only a few of them have members that are on here.

It is something I have toyed with in the past. I had major plans to update this site last fall, but a new job for me caused me to have very little time. Things are looking good this summer, so I will probably have such a listing. There will be quite a few changes to the site this summer as I find time.

To make it easier, create a forum for "Club Discussion Area".
Create one General Club Discussion sub-forum where all things 'generally club oriented' could be discussed.

Make a sticky thread instructing Clubs on how to contact an Admin to request a subforum be opened specific to their club, or let them reply to the sticky with their request and information.

In return ask that they link back to this forum from their club homepage (main page) prior to creating the sub forum, thereby making it an exchange and moving traffic here too.

Then you only need to open a subforum for those that are actually requesting it.
Not create 100 subforums waiting for their members to find the location. ;)

I formally joined Fox Glen SC (East Augusta/Vassalboro).
With their permission, for free, I also redid their website and registered a domain.
Let me know what you think.

Nice job. Are they going to put up a map?

I only made the first introduction meeting and not much business was done.

They do almost everything on paper, so I need to get copies of their Member Application and Business Application to convert into MSWord and PDF. Essentially putting up anything they don't charge for. If they don't charge for their maps, I'll scan one and post it.

I also have a GPS and as I learn how to use it off road I'll be posting up Garmin GPS routes. Things like routes from the Club House to Red Barn, or the ITS. So, people with GPS can download and run the routes as well.

Where's the club house? Gps the location. We ride locally in Richmond and maybe branching out up to Disgusta is a possibility this season.

Where's the club house?

The map of the clubhouse is there.
Address is in upper right on every page.
Maps in a general sense is here:
http://fox-glen.com/membership.html @ bottom of page.

We have our meeting next week night, I'll try to remember to get the clubhouse coordinates.

Nice job. Are they going to put up a map?

They don't have a map.

So..... I'll likely be riding the trails this winter, taking tracks with my GPS, and making maps myself. We'll see what happens in terms of posting them once I am done.

The trail head is at the High School?
There's no trail highlighted. I that because you haven't gps tracked that portion?

The trail head is right by the HS yes.

That is not my track, it is one I found on the internet and it does not cover some of the trails. I'll be completing (re-running) it this year. I'll also be adding a lot of points of interest (food, gas, scenic loops, etc.).

I did just add a note to the page to clarify why some areas are disconnected.
[Note: This map is not complete. It will be updated in 2010 for all trails and points of interest.]

Just wanted to demo it so I could get comments back.

Thanks.

Added a section of trail and upload the GPS files.

By the second week of February once the water freezes, I'll be running all the trail sections and posting the 2010 update. I'll be adding a lot of POI's like food, gas, crossings, etc.
