Now that the cleanup from the Blizzard of 2006 is well under way, it is time to start focusing on the next winter storm. An area of low pressure will begin to intensify over the Four Corners region of the Southwest Wednesday and track across the nation's midsection Thursday and into northern New England Friday. Snow will start off lighter in the central Rockies, but once the storm enters the Plains, moist air flowing up from the South will collide with arctic air dropping out of Canada. A band of heavier snow will set up from the central Plains later Wednesday and spread into the Great Lakes Thursday. On the south side of storm, the precipitation will fall as rain. This means that locations along the East Coast that were hammered by heavy snow over this past weekend will end the week with a bit of rain.

I need it to though. That last snow was so fine that it blew right off the trails. There is still 15 inches of snow with none on the trail itself.

hasn't this warm weather helped any??? Out here we only have half of it left... and it's suppose to hit the 50s again. Althought that storm looks like it's goign to be too far north and sled country will only get rain and ice :-(

yeah it's going too far north and just rain now... figures it was just another tease... just like most of the storm this season. I really hope i can get in a couple more rides this season... Would hate to have a season millage of less than 100 ml. Hopefully after I recover from the wisdom teeth extraction I can find someplace with some good riding :-D

Wow makes me proud of my 1,000 in this shitty winter. But you can hit the trails from your backyard... I gotta trailer atleast 40 minutes away before I hit places where I could begin riding.... that would be if i stored my sled down here in cambridge.... But it's stored in Kennebunk at my in-laws since there is basically no place to store it down here. So in order to do any riding i have to travel up to kennebunk... which is about 75 minutes away.

Usually I just average just around 1000 miles for a season. I was hoping to have a lot more than 1000 this year but it looks like i'll be lucky to break 100 LMAO. Pittiful season for sure!!!

just look at it this way.... atleast you know you're not the only one with minimal riding time ;-) a lot of other riders out there in the same situation.

Yeah everyone everywhere is complaining. That is only half the miles I expected. I also thought I would be riding in NH and Maine more but there season has sucked also. Everytime I buy a new sled we get a few great winters so I hope next year will be good. I also realizw thinking back now that we always have a few good years followed by a bad year or two.

see I should have known we were going to have a crappy winter. My best friend bought a new sled... and every year he buys a new sled we have crap for riding. I just hope next year is a lot better than this year!!!
