I would like to have people talk about their bad experieces with dealers here in Maine. This will help the rest of us sledders know where not to go. I will share my bad experience later when I have time to type it all out. It will take up two pages to talk about the bad experience I have had with this one dealer. I will never go back to this dealer. I gave them to many chances. To be continued...

Robertsons neglected to to the appropriate paperwork when I bought my 04 800X so I didnt get teh second year engine warranty as I was told. Thankfully my good friends at JPS took care of me. Guess thats why I always buy sleds there. I only went to Robertsons as they had the sled I wanted and Dave couldnt get me one. Other than that Robertsons was adequate.

I just posted one of mine in the Ski Doo forum. That along with waiting almost 4 weeks to get a job done that was gonna be 1 week tops has soured me from an Auburn dealer. Sales sells the first unit, service sells the second, third, and fourth units.

Per 500ss, "Sales sells the first unit, service sells the second, third, and fourth units."

I couldnt have said it better myself. I tried a new dealer here in CT this past season and the sales department was great but the service was pathetic. I'll never buy from them again.

And it is for sale again......not surprised, they built the new dealership but can't even pave the whole parking lot, back when we got all the rain it was like a mosh pit where they park the used sleds and 4wheelers. Just not very professional if you ask me, You want to sell 10,000 toys at least look like you know what you are doing.

exactly you got the money at least look like you know what you are doing instead of scaring off the guys that wouldn't know better when the saw all the glitz and gleam of a first class place or make up for the looks with knowledgable employee's

It is funny that someone would bring up Reggies. Well it is not really that funny. But that is where I recieved my bad experience. I will never go back there to have any work done. I have been screwed over by them so bad that my butt still hurts. If you really want to here about it I will type it all out for everyone. But I will never recommend them to anyone. I would talk someone out of going there instead. From the start of buying my sled there I was screwed over and we ended up working it out but that is where it ended. There service department sucks bad. There mechanics don't know their ass from a hole in the ground. Sorry if I sound a little upset here but I really got screwed and there nothing I can do about it except tell people not to go there. In fact I have gone so far as not trusting their work that I am brining my sled to another dealer on the 28th of this month and paying them to go through it with a fine tooth comb to make sure everything is right.

No need to go into details on that story, sounds like they pushed another customer away. Smart move in getting it double checked by another dealer.

 i'm in the automotive field, i'm a dodge tech, we all pay a lot for our sleds these days and get little if any customer satisfaction, not to say any service after the sale..,in my trade we bend over backwards, sometimes way too much to make sure our customers are happy, with sales, service etc..we take alot of **** from people, and just smile and fix there problem, the sleds these days are almost as expensive as some cars, and we get no service, i am so glad that i am able to do anything that is needed on my sled, i wouldnt want some punk assed minumum wage kid workin on my 9 k sled, they always do more harm then good to it, then if they screw it up they try and cover there a&% with some lame ass story and make us pay for it, dont get me wrong there are some great sled dealers out there, with some awsome and knowledgable techs.but they are far and few between, ok get off my soap box, lol, just my 2 cents worth, but would be nice if these sled/atv dealers knew what customer satisfaction was all about, they might see a lot of repeat customers................:)

I went and picked up my sled today from the dealer that I had check over all the work that Reggies did on my sled. Wouldn't you know they found something that reggies did not fix. So I am glad that I had another dealer look it over. It is nothing that will keep me from riding this weekend but I am glad it was found. Please people listen to what everyone else has said here as a warning. Do not have Reggies do any service on your sled.

i have a problem with the fact they didn't see the 1x1' mouse nest in m y bellypan! they were supposed to do a pre season check, i would have thought they would have got into the engine compartment!

I had the same experience with an Arctic Cat my son owned. We took it to Wildcat in Turner and they did the preseason tuneup and it stared running like crap after I got it home. We found a mouse nest in the airbox.

Where did you hear that Reggie's was for sale again? Just curious. Is it valid?

They don't own the place so they won't pave it, they are renting from Reggie, the original owner.

TB is right, it ain't about money, but maybe it is if it's for sale. I think he had trouble with some other business's too.

The owner is a local here I have known him since I was knee high to a Miniz.

I heard the rumor from a local as well. I know his father passed away recently.....and that may have something to do with it. At least that is what I am told.

On the flip side . . . I've had good luck with Chases Toys where I bought my sled. My old Formula SL had a broken spring which they fixed and then it broke again . . . turns out they had missed another broken part. I suppose I could say that they should have caught this mistake the first time through, but no one is perfect and they didn't charge me for the second replaced spring.

I've always had good luck with Dockside in Rangeley. Very curtious and polite. Open at all hours and a well stocked parts department. They would always bend over backwards to do what it took to get you back on the trail in a timely manner and always with a smile. Proberly travel all the way to Rangeley to buy my next sled from them. :)

Just going to say I'm really glad Hamlins marine in Waterville no longer has the ski-doo dealership. And according to a couple of their former employees, its much better that way. Now Kramers in Sidney, when I owned a cat, were absolutely great more than once.

WHAT?! wow, you sure its the same dockside that I know?

They dont sell cats now anymore...only doooo

Ive never had good luck with Dockside, and Tri-Sports..Id stay away from both of those..

Jackman Powersports are good to deal with parts/service, but buying a sled from them doesnt seem like it'd be the best...

Ive had great luck with Whitemore& Sons in Skowhegan...Gave me a reasonable deal on my F7, and they're very good to deal with..You tell them to do something to your sled, and they'll do it..
