Yup... looks that way.... I snagged these off of Dootalk in [url=http://www.dootalk.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=90580#]This Post[/rul]. he engine is from the Bombardier ATV. It supposidly puts out 62 hp and lots of torque. Also looks like they had a Lynx in there... Wonder what they were doing with that sled...

ouch what will all you doo owners think when youre beloved two stroke only folks start trying to build a competitive 4 stroke ...

i like it i think the freestyle is a cool sled hopefully they have a larger 4 stroke in the works with it

Doo still have 2 strokes that perform just as well as the 4 strokes... Their 2strokes already meet the emission requirements for 2010 i believe... I think they'll come out with a few 4 strokes touring and workhorse sleds.

but do you agree that this is even an indication that doo might believe 2 strokes will eventually be a thing of the past?

or do you think they are simply giving option?

i think they are just giving an option... they've already proven that they are going to stick with the two strokes... they can get the same performance as a 4 stroke so why not stick with it. I just think it's going to be an option for those who prefer the 4stroke sleds. I must say that I do like how quiet they are.... drove me nutts last year having to shut my sled off to talk with my father in law on the side of the trail because I couldn't hear what he was saying over my sled. He'd let his idle and we could talk easily.

that is the first thing everyone notices about my sled after the tw strokes shut off and you start talking to the strangers on the trail after about a minute they all look at the headlight and say "is that thing running" its usually good for a quick laugh but a big disadvantage is if the battery is dead... had to jump start it once and left it running almost all day and the best part was i still didnt use as much fuel as my fathers pantera

kinda sucks for shutting down too... you just can't pull off trail and shut it down quickly... a couple times with my father in law he's had to wait almost 2 minutes before it was ready to shut down.

i ll admit that i often just stop and turn it off when i know we re stopping for a break and not just figuring out where we are ... im going to make it a point to not do that anymore though as i ve heard its really bad for the engine and turbo

yeah i was amazed with how well my father in law did with not shutting off right away... But he's usually really good about those kinds of things. Sometimes it takes quite a while for the sled to calm down enough to be shut down.
