Ryan here. I'm an outboard technician in Plymouth MA. I spend my summer months working and fishing. The winter is sledding and skiing. Boss is into sledding too so it works out good for me.
Tynan19(Casey) told me about your site.
I currently ride in NH but plan on taking a trip or two to ME this year. It would be nice to have a few people to meet up with and maybe learn my way around a little.

Welcome to the site... I grew up in NH... where abouts do you usually ride?

If you haven't been to Maine yet, it's worth it... trails are just as good, enough not better, and the lack of speed limit is nice as well.

took a few blasts around the block. the plow guy just shook his head and laughed. next week it's up to the boss' house for a few days of riding and sitting in the hot tub.
ewelin, we ride out of my boss' house in Meredith. trail is across the street. usually head north towards Plymouth. if trails are nice in Bridgewater we'll head over to Newfound Lake area. I think Sandwich Notch is on the list for early this season if possible.
I fish for stripers mostly although have been bit by the tuna bug the last few years. here's one from last August

Will work for sledding or fishing trips.....actually no side work for me, work 6 days in summer and 5 winter. not much free time if I did side work. Nevermind a boss that treats me like I'm his own kid and I wouldn't wan't to crap where I eat.
I will offer advice though and can usually walk you though anything short of a complete overhaul.

Marine Tech,

It's my own fault, actually it's my son's fault! We both have bass boats, his has the Mariner on the back. He was postive he winterized it and drained the carbs.

Well I guess he didn't and when we went to fire it up for our trip to Maine it would run and then starve for fuel. I took it to a shop that charged $150.00 to tell me the carbs needed to be cleaned and rebuilt. The estimate was for 2 hours labor at $115.00 and two rebuild kits at $60.00 each. Total should have been $390.00. He said it would take three days, plenty of time for the trip.

We got it back four weeks later and the bill was $750.00 and it still misses, coughs and sputters.

ouch, sounds like something got left behind in the barbs. we water test every job we do to make sure things like this don't happen. we do have occasional comebacks but not many.
