So what's the honest trail conditions in the Jackman Rangeley area? A buddy of mine called me up and was wondering what the conditions were with the new snow they received. I told him I thought the daytime high temps were not letting the trails set up and they'd be beat up by the end of the day. He's got an older XCR and I didn't figure it would fair well on the rough trails. I'm not starting this thread to start anything about the groomers. I merely am looking for an honest opinion. I've got a feeling everyone is flocking to those two area's.

Was in Jackman on Sunday and yes the trail were beat to snot by 2 pm. That said there is still plenty of riding to be had. Just find some logging roads and go have fun. If you avoid the major traffic areas you'll enjoy the new snow. Just go and worry about it later, you'll kick yourself if you don't.

What you come on here and blast the groomers. Hey join a club and help out. LMAO, Jeff you know that doesn't happen here. I say go for it. Riding bumps is better than riding the couch. Although I would try and ride mid week sometime.

LOL! That is why I added that disclaimer. :) I didn't want to get in trouble like some guys on HCS. I know how the grooming works and I'd never bash them. I personally would ride the bumps but it's the other guy I'm worried about with the old XCR suspension, it's not even Xtra 10, what's the older one, XC 100 or something like that?
