There should be some good riding in the Katahdin region this weekend.
All the Rockabema trails have been groomed at least twice since the snow storm and, with the below zero weather this week, conditions should be nothing short of fantastic.
ITS85 and 85A in the Whetstone/Sebois region was groomed wed night as well as connector trail ITS112.
ITS81 from Sherman Station to Patten was done on tuesday and will be done again tonight.
ITS81 from Patten to Shin Pond was groomed on tuesday and is holding up really well.
ITS 81 from Shin Pond north to Camp Violet road was done tuesday also and please note that we are using the Snowshoe Road this year due to logging in the Lane Brook and Weeks Brook area.
Please remember when encountering plowed roads on our trail system, there WILL be very large logging trucks using them and they have the right of way. SLOW DOWN!
ITS112 from Patten to The Island Falls turnaround is well groomed and ready.
The Happy Corner loop trail is not open at this time, but work is ongoing to get this ready.
Club trails scenic 81 and 64 (pub trail) are opened and will be done again this weekend.
Club trail 62 is groomed with logging activity on both sides of route 11.
Again, I can't stress this enough; SLOW DOWN!
Don't miss this opurtunity to experience some of the best riding I have seen for a while In the Katahdin region.
Any questions, comments, or concerns, don't hesitate to give me a call at 207-528-2924
Ride on.
