Jan 1st - Where to ride?

Hi, I'm new and ask for advice on where to vacation with our new sleds starting New Year's Eve. We have 8 days. Willl go to the best snow and trails. Never been to Maine.

Unless something changes very soon, Montana sounds good to me. Ground isn't frozen yet, lakes and streams are open. Ugh. last year started out like this too. Winter came near the end of January and stayed till almost May. If we're all luck enough to get going come New Years, go up to Millinocket, ride up to For Kent, all over Aroostook County and back to Millinocket.
