I've heard not much, but not from a reliable source.

It looks like they picked up 8 inches. They still hadn't done any grooming as of this morning when I was there. I would say that there is about a foot on the ground but once a sled rides over it you can see bare ground. Its still not good riding, unfortunetly. I have also head from my neighbor that there are trees down again on the trails. He went out checking and one trail he was on he siad that you could barely get through. This is in the Rockwood area.

Hopefully this warm weather that they are talking about for Thursday and Friday doesn't come this far north as it will bring us back to 0 again. Not that it is very far from it now. We need some packing done and cold to set it up. The ground has so much water in it that the snow that did fall has insulated it and not allowed it to freeze.

The lake still has a lot of open water but as we get the cold it makes ice fast. It should be interesting this year as the lake has a very high water level.

Some sun on it to melt it up a little so it sticks better as a base would be okay but too warm and it just melts away

Thanks for the info Bob. I usually make a couple of trips to Rockwood each year. Is the lake frozen to Kineo?

No, the lake is still not safe between Kineo and Rockwood. Hopefully if this warm weather only stays a short time it will continue to freeze up. As of last Thursday there was still open water between so it will still be a little.

I went riding today. Trails intown need some help from washouts from previous month. Outside of town, the trails are fair to excellent but aren't groomed. Rode all around Elephant Mountain and up to Mountain pond. ITS 86 from clubhouse to lake is in need of serious repair and there are downed trees here and there.

It is still early. We need it to turn cold.
