Definitely a good read. Hard to believe the hoops one has to jump though in order to get a license to have a poker run....

At our last meeting we hashed this around allot and decided to change our poker run day into a Family and Friends day. We plan on having some special events during the day though

Any way the State can make a $ I guess. I don't agree with it.

Don't know about Maine, but up here the paper work is hell to keep up, especially for volunteer work.

Our club dropped our gaming license, been a requirement to have for poker runs for years now and its a paper work nightmare. Unless you do it full time i.e. pull tabs, etc., and can hire a bookkeeper, its not worth the hassel.

Welcome to Maine... & Don't forget to mail the check to Augusta so we can waste it.
