Look over your shoulder or get mirrors
Had a ton of fun riding this past weekend up in The County. But for the life of me I cannot figure out why people WITH mirrors don't seem to use them, and god forbid you should come upon one wthout them. We had to work hard not to hurt anybody's feelings or bodies. We rode up beside one guy at a road crossing and then he hit it! Jeez. We burned by him. If somebody catches up to you, then let them by. It's a simple concept. It doesn't hurt and it's safer than blocking the whole trail. If you are in a pack of sleds and you are holding up faster riders. Stop and let them by.

Re: Look over your shoulder or get mirrors
How many times was our group passed... you know better than that. We even got some heads spinning of on coming traffic... Eric, me and Jeff were following each other very close at a pretty good pace and this one guy all by himself was heading towards us and lets just say he had a white-out. Don't get me wrong the trail was very wide and it was a long straight away so it was all good but the guy probably saw 1 out of 3 sleds go by...

I have mirrors. They remind me of how broad shouldered I am.

Jon, that was a little dig at the thread starter. Sounds like quite a trip with some mishaps for a certain someone.

Re: Look over your shoulder or get mirrors
Oh I forgot the funniest passing incident, for me that is. Jon's in front of me and we catch a batch of 5 or 6 sleds in the woods. Come to a clearing and it's an uphill divided trail with a median. Jon goes left of center with me on his azz. We're passing this group, me standing up to try to see thru Jon's dust. Get half way up the hill, going maybe 60 mph. Half way down the group with the end of the safe passing zone now coming into sight. Next thing I know Jon's in the air about as high as my windshield, he hit a crossing field road going upshill at 60. Of course so did I, but, just as Jon hit it and my tiny brain registered that I was about to go airborn, his 1.75-in lugged track dumps it's entire load of snow into my windshield and my chest and face. Wumphhhhhhh. Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa. Then he looks back, sees I am hard on his 6 and guns it to finish the pass before the leader gets to the turn. I was LMFAO.

Re: Look over your shoulder or get mirrors
that's pretty funny, but I didn't think you could ride that fast offshore... or has the new sled given you a burst of speed

Don't talk about it. Yager-bombs. The drink of choice for the Wrecking-Crew.
