Snow prediction
Ain't this just great, up to 18" of snow predicted for tonight and tomorrow and it's going to be in the wrong State! The storm track shows it going out to sea and staying below Maine. That's no help to any of us.
All my sleds are still in Maine! ARGGGGGGGGGGGGGG!
Coming up President's Day weekend and it looks like I'll have to trailer back up to Kokadjo again this year after I pick up my sleds at my son's house in Etna!

Re: Snow prediction
Saw that. DC even getting deep snow.
We've had two snowstorms.
El Nino is kicking our butt up here.

Re: Snow prediction
hell the storm is just barely hitting MA... cape may get a dusting... such a shame that a great storm like this went to waste so far south. Northern new england really could have used it.

Yeah no kidding! This winter is looking like a bust. So far this year we've gotten two storms that brought 7-10" of snow and that's it. Pretty lame.

Re: Snow prediction
White out conditions here, about 12" on the ground since 11 PM last night. Supposed to snow till 4 or 5 PM. Forcast is for significant snow also next Wednesday on top of this storm? Go figure!

Put your feet up and watch the Bud Shoot Out tonight. Any one watch Danica this afternoon. I think she likes having fenders and bumpers

Re: Snow prediction
This weather pattern is nuts! South Jersey got up to 30", here in Central Jersey we got 18" to 23" and North Jersey got nothing! The storm blew out to sea without ever thinking about turning North were we'd all like to see it.
Now they're saying we're getting slammed again Tuesday night into Wednesday with similar amounts! But there's no prediction yet where that storm will head from here. Let's all hope it goes North.
My son says some friends tried to get into Newport for the ride in and they were beating their sleds up trying.
Any reports from up country on the ITS trails 85,86 or 87? I may put off coming like I planned for this weekend!

Re: Snow prediction
I hear this weeks storm isn't even going to make it into Connecticut, never mind Maine.

Re: Snow prediction
They are calling for up to 18" Tuesday night into Wednesday here and possibly more. There is a chance this storm may head North when it done pounding us.
Everyone keep their fingers crossed!

Re: Snow prediction
Looks like another storm is going to stay just a little too far south... We're looking at 8-12 down here in the city and just south of us, including the cape, getting up to 15+. Package that with 30-40mph winds and gust of 50+ mph and it'll be an interesting storm. Wish I could push it further north though!

Re: Snow prediction
yeah same here... LMAO..... Once the school system canceled school for the day I knew it was going to be a bust. The last time they canceled we ended up with a dusting and we don't even have that right now. It is finally starting to come down pretty heavy though so hopefully it'll cover up the grass and dirt that I can see.

For those of you that didn't get any snow this is what it looked like at 4:00PM at my house, there is a lake out back behind the arbor and behind the two covered up bass boats!

Re: Snow prediction
The forecast calls for up to 12" Thursday into Friday and possibly a significant storm next week again. Let's all hope these two will make it to Maine so I can get my butt up for a few days of riding before mud season sets in!

Re: Snow prediction
12" in western Maine.
There was a dusting here (Augusta) last night but 40degree day will have it all gone.
Most of the lakes are now impassible too, which cuts off almost all the local trails.
Might have to go west myself next week.

Re: Snow prediction
My son called and said that they had called off the second day of an ice fishing tournament on Sebago after people started falling trough the ice on the first day.
Rob said a warden even went through with a quad, Ok Casey you and Steve can stop laughing now! I guess the warden service even lost a trailer for one of the three air boats they brought to help get people off the ice.
It doesn't sound like it was a great fishing tournament!
If it doesn't get cold enough to start making ice again, even if there is snow, I guess alot of the trails will be cut off including the one we use to get to ITS 84 from Rob's house since we have to go across Etna Pond to pick it up.

Re: Snow prediction
All the snow in the world up there isn't going to fix the effects of the warm temps. I see many pictures of open brooks up there. They need another cold snap....
